people always ask us why we do what we do, they wonder what we find so fascinating about something as simple as riding. we try to explain and no matter how many times they just don’t seem to understand. you see theres more to riding than just the thrill it gives you, its all the places you go, the people you meet and the things that you see that make it so special, it really opens your eyes and lets you see things that most people tend to overlook, the next thing you know your bikes changing your perspectives and the way you look at life. its amazing how many friends you’ll make and people that you’ll meet in different parts of the world, all because you shared the same common bond since you were a child. but unfortunately bike riding has its downfalls, crashing and injuries and that society doesn’t accept it often deters people from wanting to participate. but once youv’e experienced and become addicted to the rush and the thrills that bike riding gives you, theres no rules or guidelines in the world that will stop you from doing it. crashing has always plagued bmx riders and always will. its not crashing that sucks, its the beat up broken body and the pain that makes falling off your bike a cunt. it’s almost stupid to think of what we are doing to our bodies for the thrill and enjoyment of riding our bikes, its almost unjust or is it ? riding is our fun, it’s our escape and its a huge part of our lives. if life is about being happy, than that justification enough for me to go try jump off something high. the whole idea of riding is to express yourself and do whatever you want to do, no judges and no rules. its all fun and games. even if someone gets hurt. it might be easier to give up on something or dismiss it and say that was stupid. but if we all thought that trying was stupid, and this attitude was the only way of thinking we wouldn’t have any of the tricks, styles or even bike parts that we do today. we need to crash, we need to get back on the bike. otherwise we learn nothing. its the battle between good and evil. crashing is the sour, and there is no sweet without the sour. we need this relationship. for the good times, the good laughs, and the evolution of riding bicycle motocross.
